Jason Stinson, of Stinson Builders, chose Foamular rigid insulating panels for the outside walls of the basement to reduce energy loss and to create a vapor barrier at the same time. I chose to paint the block first with Watertite Waterproof basement paint just to get that extra protection from water intrusion and mold growth.

Jason will also have spray foam along the top of the basement walls (outside plate?) to create additional energy savings. Perhaps I can heat it with warm thoughts once we are done?
